Britt & Steve

There were a few elements that made this wedding really interesting. First, that it took place in the Annapolis Valley. We absolutely love this part of Nova Scotia. It's gorgeous. Amazing scenery, beautiful buildings (especially at Acadia University!), and, like the rest of the Maritimes, lovely people. Second, that it was so nice to see Britt and Steve's vision of their wedding day come together so perfectly. They had shared inspiration boards with us prior to the day, so we had an idea of what they were going for. The fact that the day was so well executed allowed us many opportunities to capture some wonderful moments.
And last, but not least, the fact that Steph was 38 weeks pregnant while we shot the day. We actually weren't sure when we first met with Britt & Steve several months before if we would be available on the 1st. There was always the chance that Rowan would be born before the wedding, or even that day! (We packed our bags and baby gear just in case we had to make a quick getaway to the hospital.) But everything went well. Steph was understandably a little more tired than usual. She took a few more breaks, while Matt took over more of the shooting duties. Luckily for all, the baby held off just a bit longer, and we were able to share this wonderful experience with Britt & Steve.
